HANDLEY Group works with clients to design and implement a process in which individuals and teams can develop the competencies underlying changing leadership requirements. CoActive Leadership requires learning and developing new leadership-skills that utilize the capacities and potentials of all members of the organization to do creative and meaningful work, CoActive Leadership is considered a set of individual and collective skills that integrate emotions and intellect in a dynamic way. The result is a vitality and synergy that surpasses the old leadership processes.

HANDLEY Group approach develops skills that reflect several dimensions of this new leadership intelligence paradigm:

  • Understanding how emotions motivate cognitive activity and behavior.

  • Gauging the Spectrum of Emotions in the organization—ability to accurately identify one's own range of emotions and the range being experienced by others.

  • Empowerment Proneness—the ability to authorize one's self to initiate ideas, expressions of feeling, and actions without requiring the permission of an internalized or external authority figure.

  • Awareness of the Defense Routine Spectrum—ability to accurately identify one's own and others role in blaming routines, cover-up routines, denial, avoidance, envy and other defenses that effect leadership processes.

  • Learning Proneness—the ability to continuously learn about the leadership process within the system as it unfolds and evolves.
